Silent Noise

As white as black
As light as dark
I ask “can you hear it” but no remark
Everywhere I go it follows me
No one hears the silent scream
So loud, deafening at times
Silent noise unsettling my mind
Loud as an empty room
Quite as a bomb going off
Noise that seems to be lost
Want it to stop at any cost
Origins are unknown
But refuses to leave me alone
A sound that surrounds me
A force if permitted would bring me to my knees
Nothing will make it cease
This silent noise will give me no peace
