Dema Al-Obaidy

Should a delicate rose
explain her beauty's dilemma
or her bedazzling aroma?
Should the moon's halo
explain why his face shines?
signaling the stars to align
Should the sky protest
and be mad at doves
for they spread such love
Should my heart be prisoned
and my soul too
because I love you
