Shades of Soft

Soft evolves from blue,
exquisite inner soft, like sky,
though embryonic and small.

Soft pearl imitates the big sky,
though ever inward, expanding softly into
itself, protected and nourished,

by an old shell,
Soft forms in a secret place, her
laugh and mine, mingling, merging,
opening (as flowers do)....

Our love evolves from blue,
unfolding, slow, expectant,
cautiously embracing
a newer shade of soft.
