Separate Lives

We each pursued our appetites. We each pursued our goals.
We each pursued our travel jaunts.
Now we're on separate poles.
We each pursued our overtures. We each pursued our plans.
We each pursued our focal tasks.
Now we're on separate stands.
We each pursued our calendars. We each pursued our starts.
We each pursued our daily chores.
Now we're on separate charts.
We each pursued our happiness. We each pursued our glees.
We each pursued our party flings.
Now we're on separate sprees.
We each pursued our exercise. We each pursued our sports.
We each pursued our playful games.
Now we're on separate courts.
We each pursued our company. We each pursued our friends.
We each pursued our order ranks.
Now we're on separate bends.
