selfish words

the time is coming the moment of truth
to see where this relationship is going between me and you
tests are going to be lived reactions are going to be seen
i'm not writting this to scare you i'm not trying to be mean

baby there is something about you that i haven't seen before
you have something special, a unique alure
your voice calms me and puts me at ease
my body wants so much of you and with a touch it is pleased

the future is ours what we do with it our choice
many times i have told youwhat i feel, Question is did you hear my voice
if you only knew that my impatience is eating me alive
the thing is that i will live but will our relationship survive

i've been hurt so many times in so many ways
i've given my trust, my heart, my all to only be betrayed
i'm scared to be hurt again can you blame me
but you're probably reading this and thinking i'm crazy

you are probably wondering so what is the test
it's your actions and reactions but i doubt that will put your mind at rest
the way you treat me the way you are
I'm going to be selfish to protect something special to me, my heart

you've gone through a lot of things your probably saying you don't need this shit
i know that your busy that you have a lot of responsibilities, i know it's lagit'
but i'm with you yet i'm alone what are you going to do about it
call my words selfish sorry but you've already said it

again i wait for your reaction and see nothing
if you only knew the uncertainty it brings
to think about it selfish i maybe but your not far behind
to look at this relationship you will clearly see that i'm your's but you are not mine.

These are but written photos of my life, my mind, and those around me captured as best as I could in words. I'm not a trained writer so my style is of no particular way. I have long detailed poems and short to the point ones. My hope is that you can see what I have seen feel what i felt with out braking your head trying to figure out what I meant. Enjoy! more…
