Selfish Boy

Little did I know I thought you were a selfish boy
No giving a care, the world as your toy
But turn around from this false joy
You didn't care what people thought of you
You said "Only I know what about me is true."

Maybe that's what attracted me
A strong man was what I could see

But now the wall is, grief is all
You told me I was perfect, I didn't need to fall
You said that you would catch me
When I couldn't see

But you already told me you'd leave
Please stay, I cry, if I could believe

It seems my words does not bother at all
I'm crumpling against this dark wall
Don't you care!
my love is killing me, I cannot bear

Selfish boy you cause me pain
I'm tired of walking down this narrow lane

I'm tired of your happy facade
You act as if your ok when I speak...
Of ending this story, a goodbye
Or am I weak?

At the moment a string just broke
Broken love had just awoke

I saw another side of you, a little boy
Selfish boy consumed by love, no longer coy
I thought you didn't care! But now...
The pain I see, heartbreakingly in your eyes
You truly wish of no goodbyes

Cutting like broken glass
How much love do you truly have

Selfish tears I have seen
Where has this side of you been
I see a little boy who fears of losing
The girl he loves, a choice of choosing

Selfish little boy I thought you couldn't hear
But now tears so perfect, so clear

I believe that there is a time for everything and some things can be expressed through poetry I come from a different family and things are different everywhere. I believe poems can be gateways into the mind, what we cannot say but wish to say it anyway so badly and so words change but the meaning will forever stay the same.I write as my hands allow me, word after word. Ink following the shadows of my paper begging me silently to write more. These are my poems. more…
