Seeds

Seeds

From the tiniest of seeds to the morning light of day

each a miracle inspired by a universe takes its place

Bury the dead, forget the past and proceed forward

in the never ending march of time

What then shall we leave beyond but rot and skeletons

as proof that we were here for some unknown time

We eagerly devour what we see

Leaving only a shadow of existence to relinquish

all duty bound to solid earth will slip again into a

distant memory and then forgotten as each new day

miracle or curse brings new life

For better or for worse
