Sad eyes.

I remember seeing you in that hospital bed.
You were so bruised, I thought you might be dead.

You were just a baby, not even one year old.
How could anybody do that, how could she be so cold.

The sadness that I saw in your eyes.
Spoke more than her ridiculous lies.

You were so scared, to even look around.
It was then that my heart for you was found.

How could anyone abuse such an innocent girl?
It makes me angry and causes my mind to whirl.

You were in the hospital for ten whole days.
How could people fall for her affectionate displays?

She was a cruel and sadistic b*tch.
To her I'd like to have taken a switch.

You were almost beaten to death, for wanting to eat.
To this day, it's a dark alley in which I'd like her and I to meet.

And to think, that they never prosecuted her.
There is something wrong with this story for sure.

At least we got you out of there when we did.
I just don't get how anyone could do that to a kid.

I'll never forget the lost look in your eyes.
The sadness in your blue eyes, could have easily filled the skies.
