Rose (Reloaded)
The beauty of a rose
kinda hard to oppose;
can be seen
not within what it seems
but in the principle of its creation
in how God choose its unique colours
and classed them into different sorts
in reds, in yellows, in pinks, in purple, in whites
in burgundy and mixed too
and how man saw meaning in them
and tied to it some virtue
extract from it some perfume
the beauty of a rose
in a clear juxtapose
excels other flower
and stands tall like a tower
the red simply speaks “I love you”
in perfect valentine for your boo
some come in calmness of yellow
meaning- “friendship, freedom and mellow”
yet some in the feminism of pink
means “grace, gentleness, gratitude”, all in sync
the royalty of purple;
kinda rare amongst people
but signals love at first sight
saying in you “I see a green light”
the pure and immaculate of white
symbolize “truth, innocence and bright”
the coolness of peach
depicts “appreciation” in act and speech
the loudness of orange
is nothing so strange
communicates “enthusiasm and desire”
glowing and burning like fire
in the depth of black
clear and easy to crack
connotes “it's over or the end”
sometimes hard to comprehend
the beauty of a rose
a full grown pose
is "quick to spot" from afar
as seen with petals like a star
most acceptable to the eye
so obvious if you spy
stylishly balanced on its moss stand
displaying rosebud kind
of twenties and thirties
serving the best, excelling the rest
extract for rose oil and rose water
and rose syrup and rose scone
and jam and jelly and marmalade and more
with some sweet sweet fragrance
that shows a sign of elegance
the beauty of a rose
is more than it shows
so many yet to discover
from the very few we uncover
how beautiful you are, oh rose
though life is not a bed of roses
cos even roses have thorns
but thorns you can trim
though they may sometimes pr*ck
but its all up to you
like the choices of its colours
you can choose
from the variety of its product
you can use
to opt for a wise stick
the ideal cherry-pick
