River song of bengal

Have  no Golden  boat
nor  iron oar
how  can  I row  against  this  high tide
how shall  reach  the  shore

Oh ! my  sky ; oh!  the  wind
could  any of you  guide
how  can   I  sail  agaist  this  tide
how  should  I  face the  waves !

Seeing    floating  clouds  on  blue- sky
and  other  boat-men  sailing   beyond
got  tempted  to   sail  my  own
 and  reach  my  dream -land

Now with  torn sail and  streaming  sweat
the   soul in despair cries  !

(This  song  was  written in Bengali; early 1970-s and was  sung  in a Cultural  Fest. Transliterated  to day )
