Return To The Treestump

When sitting on the treestump,
the buzzing spoke to me,
once our favorite place,
now where I love to be.

Eyes stray over to the pond,
a life that awoke your heart,
a smile from you that made me love,
I never thought we'd part.

A dragonfly dances for you,
a butterflies soft applause,
honeybee skips from flower to flower,
a time once loved that was.

Little birds sing so sweetly,
the frogs croaked, I am here,
little boats are their lilypads,
now love falls as a tear.
