Respite.

You came back to me, oh happy day.
See, it does do good to stop and pray.
I am just thankful, that's all I can say.
I knew in my heart, that you couldn't forever stay away.

Sometimes we all need a little rest.
To help us withstand life, our test.
To help us be strong, to do our best.
It is our souls that we truly invest.

To stop, take a moment, and get ready for the fight.
We have to be strong, we need all our power and might.
We have to be ready for anything, in this, our life's plight.
If we pray long and hard, he will hear us and bring us to the light.

Our saviour, our God, he is always by our side.
It is because he loved us, that he gracefully died.
Allowing us forever, in his arms to safely abide.
At times allowing us to collect our thoughts and hide.
