relief

in your eyes i see a great charade
the great wall on display
on a piedestal

shining bright in the darkest night
so majestic and beautful
but what's that shameful thing in the corner?
oh never mind

it seems all our words are false
hiding our grim realities
but it's quite obvious

looking in i can't really say i'm ashamed
of what i'm hiding
its more like i'm playing a game

then when i'm finally seen
i find myself playing yet another game
the game of all-or-nothing

she was like no one else
or just like me
a snow flake or
maybe a grain of sand

with cats eyes
and the deepest seas
hidden to most but so clear to me

i'm just a pile of stones
guarded by a vicious hawk
that's what i keep telling myself

all i want is to shed this skin
to stop these crazy games
light up the dark

i want to break the glass
that's separating my self
i want to float on high winds

revealing once and for all
all that has been shrouded in darkness for so long

not with force but letting go
of these heavy curtains
we could all use some rest

david holmberg

I'm a Swedish artist with many fields of interest. My poems are often about spirituality, philosophy, love, emotions and sometimes they are even a tad nonsensical :)I have a history of depression and alot of reflection about my self, conciousness and the world. I am introverted, honest and love to delve into the different realms of art and spirituality! My poetry is very personal and I never try to mimic any other poets. While I haven't explored the stilistical forms of poetry so much I try to work with expression and painting a picture, try to keep it as free as possible. Although I might try out different forms in the future should I feel to. Aaaanyways welcome to my page, hope you enjoy yourself! Any feedback or just spontaneous reactions are much appreciated! :-) more…
