Regrets part ll (Edited)

Part l - http://www.poetry.com/poems/573463-Regrets-part-I

I will carry on this fight
In the midst of despair
Trying to find the light
When the end is tears

If I had a stair
I could pluck the stars
But the anger we bear
Put us into war

With a thirst to face
We move on a road
To a grisly race
As we see a shore

The people of that land
Are in search of their crimes
The violence they stand
Forgetting the peaceful times

We boast of our power
Of how rich we are
We expect them to cower
Ignoring their scars

They wait for a chance
And a tool to retaliate
They deplore my stance
In a cycle we perpetuate

There's nothing to say
I give up the fight
The nation's gone astray
And I can't ease my blight

I am lost in regret
But I will sow the seeds
When the cruel flood beset
The soil will be saved by the trees
