Rays of Sunshine, Drops of Rain

Sunshine pours down in great heaps.
Soft, glittering rain pitters on the ground.
Clothes damp,
Faces warm,
You hugging me.
The sound of rain on the pavement
Play out our song of love.
Flashing eyes so bright
Help create odd rainbows.
Hair wet with rain
And hot with flying sun drops
Sticks to our faces
As we lay on our backs, side by side, on the drive way.
Your hand moves over,
And plays with my wet hair
But I don't seem to notice.
My short blond hair follows me as I stand up
To get closer to the fresh air.
You unknowingly hum
Our special harmony
Of rays of sunshine and drops of rain.
