Queen of the Jungle

Pride can kill if you let it.
And I often do.
My pride surpasses natural limitations broken by Leo's.
I am no Leo.
I'm the lion tamer with one hand holding a whip.
The other hand maintains her open jaw with an ambidextrous grip.
In this line of work, its dangerous to gamble.
Make no false moves.
Let your guard down once... suddenly you lose.
I lost my Sarabi as a result of pride.
Over some black psychology nonsense I should have just let slide.
See my body tricked the mind into thinking it was fed-up.
Expression of misguided discourse got me hit with a slap and
"Just shut the hell up."
So now I'm back at where the show started.
I pull my head out of the lion's mouth,
Release the whip,
And proceed to walk away...
Broken hearted.
