Puppet

Why let them pull strings,
entertainment,at your expense.
Singing and dancing,
at the drop of a hat.
Let's just see how far,
you will get.
Pleasing others,
will never make you happy.
Living in the shadows,
of their exsistence.
Only to see,
it is short lived.
After you give...
and give...and give...
For the moment,
you feel elated.
Only to discover,
that your vision is jaded.
True happiness,
starts with yourself.
While you can still continue,
to look out for the rest.
So if you think you are,
taken advantage of,trust it.
And never settle for being,
anybody's puppet.
