preacher men

im not a soldier
never wanted to be
why would i fight for a country
when it isn't fighting for me
its hard to walk down the street
being black and not have the cops follow me
and what makes it worse i was born in this country
but the color of my skin makes it hard for anyone to believe
some of the preacher men pleading no violence
they must have not been beat down and treated like garbage
let the precher men walk down every street
with nothing but the bible and long rosary beads that touch his feet
let the preacher men walk around every broken city
and not brake a sweat and drop a tear for anyones pitty
let the preacher men walk in every ghetto
no bullet proof vest or clergy to follow
let the preacher men walk and keep their head high
and not every take a moment to ask God why
