Synopsis of chapter, rewritten from prose into verse for submission and your reading pleasure.

Nephi was totally absorbed in doing The Lord's will, with great zeal.
On earth and in heaven, The Lord gave him the power to seal.
That included the power to loose and the power to bink.
Few are entrusted with such great power among humankind!

He preached to the populace wheresoever he was sent.
He warned of coming destruction of those who would not repent.
He chose not his itenary, but travelled wherever The Spirit led.
He, like a loving shepherd, ensured the flock were spiritually fed.

John Hugo Cullen

Born 01 June 1940 at Roswell, New Mexico. Baptized 15 April 1972 in Spring Creek north of Cookeville, Tennessee, at Bend of the River. Ordained a high priest of The Church of Jesus Christ of Later-day Saints on 04 July 1976 by the late Robert N. Brady.I believe that the standard works, or scriptures, of the church are written by prophets, by revelation and are holy and sacrd. I feel an obligation to share them all, one daily. The only contribution of mine is to turn the prose into poetry so it can be submitted as poetry. I do not claim credit for the basic ideas, but I accept blame for all my mistakes. Please respect the sources, and please be brutally honest, with details, to help the message bearer's improvement! Some may think that using the scriptures for inspiration means that originality is missing. In my poem archive you can also find non-scriptural works, on a variety of topics. Some have been selected, by editors, for publication in The United Kingdom and United States. more…
