Poetry Written

With pen in hand poems unwritten,
cobwebs of words wait and listen.
Absorbed forever in mind and soul
transcribed on paper begin to flow.
Thoughts of early morning sunrise
this part of it you might surmise,
a loved one snuggled by your side
moon's reflection at high tide.

Words lost are standing still
as rain dances on window sill
Ponder the thoughts gone astray
volcanic words erupt some way.
Familiar rhymes or exotic mood
powerful or subtle in magnitude,
butterflies burst cocoon illusions,
flowers bloom buds of delusions.

Words embrace unevenly spoken,
new frontiers of language broken.
Sweet and serene cleansed of pain
waiting to start a new poem again.
