Poem

No matter how much you want things to remain,
Remain the same,
Things will change.
Who's in your life today,
Might not stay,
For people can be in your life
But with a blink of an eye,
Vanish without a goodbye.
Contact is lost and all that is found
Are memories of when they were around
And sadness because they're not now.
In your life you have no control
Over who stays and who goes
But remember the ones who really care,
Are meant to be there
And the ones that leave,
Were never meant to be.
