Please Don't Hesitate

I can see that you are struggling.
I can see it on your face, that what's on your mind is troubling.

Your eyes are red and glossy, but I doubt that it's from tears.
Please don't hesitate to tell me all your fears.

Your cough is thick with smoke, but you say it's just a cold.
Please don't hesitate to tell me, your plans for when you're old.

Your hands shake with a nervous sense, but you say it's just my eyes.
I'm not stupid, my dear friend, so please hesitate your lies.

Even when you shut me out, even when you look away, i will not leave your side my friend. Just know I'm here to stay.

You say you can handle yourself just fine, but I don't know for sure.
So I watch over you my friend, this i rightly swore.

I know I'm young my friend, you think i wouldn't understand.
But it doesn't take a grown-up, to lend a helping hand.

We've been close since we were kids, we'd play under the trees.
So i can say i know you inside out, so do not hesitate to trust me.

I've always looked up to you, you've always been my hero.
But even hero's need a side-kick...i'm right in front of you, you know?

So here's to my hero, my cousin, my best friend.
I try reaching out to you, to prevent a tragic end.

So do not hesitate to ask for help, do not hesitate to call me. Cause we are cousins, same as blood...
So do not hesitate to love me.
