Pieces

Pieces are scattered from the absence of what once mattered. Surrounding my body like little dark secrets, being whispered without discretion and spoken with little words full of deep questions. They torment me from within my soul; Telling me my heart was never truly whole. My heart bleeds in black and tells of a dark tale, For the love of a woman whose heart took sail. Loving so deep and caring so dear, she once had a smile that warmed the coldest of airs. Trapped in her mind full of regret, the shattered pieces controlling her from every depth. Dark as the night and as sad as the lost, The pieces sold themselves at such an unreasonable cost. She bought a lie and revealed a cruel truth, forever she'll sit in darkness shattered by the memories of you.
