Pie In The Sky

Live a life of wretchedness and just before you die
rest in divine forgiveness
and find pie in the sky.

What sacred pomposity sanctions heinous intent?
What false grandiosity
dismisses all misspent?

Die the death of the righteous while tampering with sin.
Avoid impartial justice
while giving truth a spin.

What odd curiosity pries open specter’s vault?
What quaint preciosity
modifies every fault?

Gain eternal salvation no matter what you do.
Cling to the aberration
of ultimate rescue.

What religiosity winks at the acts of hate?
What blind generosity
allows evil good fate?
