Perspicacity
I can disappear into this darkness,
pulling at my insides.
Destroying every element.
Searching
for a better reasoning,
for an understatement of life.
And I can't promise I won't give in.
I can't hold on to the esoteric
hieroglyphics
of how you looked at me
when you left.
But I can promise you
the empty chest
I have kept by my bedside.
Protecting the idiosyncrasies
of a mind at rest,
but not at rest.
For even in deep death
my mind seems to find itself a satellite
of your being.
The moon
of your very fiber,
circulating in orbit.
Out of orbit.
A million revolutions per second.
Catch me if you can
as i fall,
dizzy,
onto your cold ground.
