People say, I say

People say nothing changes with the blink of an eye,
I say; you have to try in order to reach the sky.
People say nothing comes easily in hand,
I say; you have to know when to cross the sand.

People may talk to you about time being wasted,
I say; as long as you enjoy it's completed.
People may talk to you about love being overrated,
I say; you'd never know for sure without being related.

People may tell you to leave your own box,
I say; it's your own decision when to pass the rocks.
People may tell you to change the way you live,
I say; listen to your heart and ask them to forgive.

People say that I can't change the day today.
I say; you have to believe of the yesterday.
People say life is a gift,
I say; thank you for giving me a lift.

Shir Hanochi

"life isn't measured by the numbers of breaths you take, but by the moments that take your breath away". With my poetry, I want to make more of those breathtaking moments, to put everything I feel into words and let everyone else enjoy it as well as learning from it.English is not my first language, therefore I'd like to hear any grammar or spelling mistakes. Thank you all for understanding, and enjoy reading. :) more…
