People make mistakes
Each & every day
And when they're truly sorry
Forgiveness is "His" way
So as human beings
We also should forgive
To do as the Lord says
We should even forget
Forgiving and forgetting
Heals us as we go
To let that anger depart us
Heals our very soul
Forgiving and forgetting
Does not mean we accept
The wrong done by others
And you honestly do not forget
But it does mean
I can go on
Even though I have been wronged
It also means
I can can be
That special person
Christ sees in me.
