Peace and Karats

Unbelieveable, but I enter this and it gets deleted!

They've played the same old song
In an endless loop
Somehow, the feeling's all wrong
Burning a hole in my brain
Angst stirring the pot too long

City of Angels
With strange conversations
Listen hard and they'll
Tell of lust and winged demons
Wings clipped on a slab
Just a little dab
Will do you well
In the back of a cab
Oh so blah in  hell
It's all engraved on the walks of Hollywood
It's all good
 bed and food,
 it's all good

I'm always out of gas
Drive me mad until
I'm down to my last guess
Just drive tha stake through my heart
The story leaves me breathless

There's something tainted
About all this misery
Pretty and painted
Reduced to a banal cliche'
I only hope she can pray

The Season for Peace awaits
Though we still arm for war
Velvet sky studded with karats
The cowboys took a tour
Off into the sunset
The sirens of Santa Monica Boulevard
Sang of cracked porcelein gods
That graced a drug store post card
