Parasites

Ticks and leeches gnaw at my skin,
Moral ambiguity let them in

They enter the bloodstream gnashing and breaking,
Taking control of my actions, my words jumbled, not faking

Seems like they are posessed by demonic souls,
Fettering away my strength of will, my eyes do several rolls

My heart tries to fight them, smash them to pieces so small,
My dignity says they are foreign, they do not belong at all

Did they come from outside, or been within all along,
The universe is hostile, so they may have been lured by my internal song

Not long now before dementia sets in,
And on my face will be plastered an evil grin

I am now not the one in control,
I am another sheeplike worthless soul
