Papa's Old Harmonica

It's been a few
Years
And I'm
A big boy now
But
Sifting through some old things
Papa left behind
Guess what
The old harmonica he used to play
And some of those tunes
He could knock out
I can
Hear them now
Well I picked it up held it in my hands for a while
Kind of remembering
Some of those old preciouse moments
It felt like a piece of magic
As I held it
I gave it a little tap to release the reeds
Then put it to my lips
I used to play myself but this seemed so different
At first nothing made sense
Until I hit that sweet note
From then on
I was in
Big boys don't cry they say
But as I played on
Those tears just rolled down my cheeks
But I don't think I was alone
I'm sure
Papa was listening.
