Out Of The Rain

A rain drops ripple in the pool of lonely tears
Tiny ripples of loneliness disappear over the years
But broken hearted, the night will seem far too long
And the days seem all too dark, as you try to move on

Going through lifes motions, wanting to believe in someone
And hope someone can hear, your lonely swan song
But nobody listens as nobody cares
Leaving you lost, lonely and scared

What happens to the lonely at the end of the day?
When all of the strangers have gone away
Broken and alone, the lost can't find their way
So a tiny tear drop falls from the eye of the brave

Each step a journey, a step further from the past
Into a future that will take your heart out the trash
Rising from the ashes to be strong again
The lost and the lonely come out of the rain

All poems included here are just first draft's. I hadn't written poetry for a few years, so to polish my art and find my muse I posted some quickly written poems on these pages so I could see your response. It has helped me by reading your reviews about my poems (all of which I have taken into consideration) all comments have helped me improve my work a great deal. Thank you. I realy enjoy reading all your poems. I find some very insperational, some very heart felt, some very deep, which has helped me to push myself and dig deeper. Very deep, on some occasions. So my own poetry has vastly improved- since I have joined this sight, it has certainly helps splur me on. Thank You for all your imput and replies, please keep it up. It has helped educate me and make me a better writer. So if you would like to read more of my poems (the ones I've taken time over, polished them, played with them, worked on them till they truly worked)for your pleasure I have now with confidence published my own book. A MEASUREMENT OF THE MIND, POEMS OF LIFE AND LOVE. its available on ebook at Amazon. Thank You. more…
