Only One I'm Hurting

Only One I'm Hurting
I sit here alone and feeling blue;
Because I know you don't love me like I love you.
My heart aches and longs for what should be.
And the only one I'm hurting is me.

Some say that I should just move along.
When it comes to you, I'm not that strong.
From your love I don't want to be set free.
And the only one I'm hurting is me.

The landscape has us so far apart.
But there is no distance in my heart.
I choose to be held by your mercy,
And the only one I'm hurting is me.

I've spent years chasing whiskey down;
It helped to turn a smile from a frown.
From troubles it never made me free,
But the only one I'm hurting is me.

In my mind I pretend it isn't so,
My heart just can't seem to let you go.
To others I'm blind and cannot see,
But the only one I'm hurting is me.

I sit here lost in this world of mine,
Trying to present that I am fine.
Perhaps I'm trapped in misery,
But the only one I'm hurting is me.
