One of my darkest days

.I got the news that you had past

It had only been a moment since I saw you last

I collapsed in tears and fell to the floor

Couldn’t deal with the fact that I would never see you anymore

I was left all alone and frozen in a daze

Truthfully it was one of my darkest days

I’d be ok for a moment then would break down and cry

I’d look up to the heavens and ask God why

It made no sense to douse a light like yours

A terrible moment when it rains it pours

I was left all alone and frozen in a daze

Truthfully it was one of my darkest days

You had so much more life left in you and that was hard to take

I viewed your body and paid my respects at your wake

I looked for answers but there were none to be found

Then I watched at your funeral as they put you in the ground

I was left all alone and frozen in a daze

Truthfully it was one of my darkest days

Time goes by and I still miss you hopefully someday It will be easier to bare

But I know in my heart that it’s hard because there are no more moments to share

I have to go on I guess and just endure

Then I realize why the lord had taken you because your soul was pure
