One Last Kiss

Beloved... if God permit me steal you away - once again
I would take you in the arms of my soul and hold you closely
My arms enfolding you rediscovering forgotten embraces
Would hold you by the measure of years we have been apart

My arms would not tire holding all that is beautiful about you
Until each lost moment is made recompense - I would not let
As the last moments of a relentless man holding on to life
I would touch you as if it were my last and first time

I would exhaustively caress you, filling my senses
With the scents of your breath, skin and perfumed hair
As our clothes are removed, I pull you close - eyes fixed
Bare breasted, naked, warm, ready and unashamed

My hands would painstakingly explore your treasures
Such exquisite satisfaction erupts from feeling and seeing
The myriad of expressions your desire no longer wishes to contain
Your liquid eyes - limpid pools of impassioned lust, reveal you

Intoxicated by you, your skin, your scents, your eyes - I kiss you
With the hunger of a desert man drinking cool water
I continue quenching this burning kiss until my very breath
Demand it's time from your mouth... to find momentary pause
