One

One hand can save a drowning soul.
One word can sometimes make them whole.
One deed well done can change a life.
One unkind word can cut like a knife.
One word of anger left unsaid
Can a friendship often mend.
One heartfelt message of forgiveness given,
Will bring compassion from those who listen.
One hug, one smile, one loving touch.
Are the things we need so much.
Fill another's heart today
By offering kindness in every way.
Never let the words you say,
Be the kind that that won't go away.
Make sure the words that others hear
Are words that show you care.
Don't leave the doing to someone
Who is better, smarter or has more time then you.
Because if everyone did that too.
There would be no good deeds coming back to you.
