Everything can start anew
Spring can reign upon us
And the flowers can bloom
We can cast away the oppressive
Drapes that covered our gloom
Dare to utter the word hope
It is no longer a four letter word
Called, preposterous or down right absurd

Once you are gone
And the boogie-man is put away
Back into his dark closets
Where all good ghosts should remain
Never will winter's solstice feel so cold
Never should our humanity refrain
Our angels would again sing
