On this stage
“We feel proud to announce on this stage”
The name of unknown poet coming through ages
Towards his contribution for lovely literature
A dream for golden world and its bright future
Unbelievable, unheard and unreliable to think!
The announcement was on and I could hardly blink
They were reading excerpts from the long drawn page
Narrating about experience, contribution and total age
Someone caught hold of my hand and ushered on dais
The people were continuously applauding without any bias
Young and charming lady accompanying me with helping hand
I just dreamed of heaven and whole of world as loving friend
Presentation of oak, cheque and over sized woolen shawl
I was at the peak of fame with many honors and call
It was dream like journey with complete world at praise
I just wept with happiness after this poetic chase
What poet can dream in his whole life for contribution?
Nothing except few words in honor and jubilation
Love and peace efforts with nice combination
A rare gesture for building imagery relation
I was given mike to speak few words
That made me to extend hand and look forward
As soon as words started to flow from original voice
Something broke silence as if crime committed for breach of promise
As soon as I turned to regain confidence
It appeared loud in ears again at once
I was shaken from sleep to come alive
They thought I had bad dream and believed
I was whispering “bravo, bravo“
As if responding to the call “hello”
I was over enthusiastic and repeating it in dream
They thought I have some plot in mind for the poem
It shook me once again in real world
I was now developing feet under cold
I was back to square one for posting again
But of course it was nice dream with more to gain
