On the brink!

Elizabeth King

I miss you more than you could possibly ever think.
My throat is dry, I'm in the desert, and I thirst for a drink.
Without you, I'm crashing on the ice, like I've never been in a rink.
You are there one minute, then you're gone the next, I'm afraid to blink.
Without you by my side, I'm faltering, and teetering, I'm really on the brink.
Just come back soon, I don't know how much more I can take before I sink.
