Old rugged cross

He gave his life for you and I
On the old rugged cross is where he died
Nailed his hands and feet and pierced his side
For our sins the lamb of God was crucified
He died in excruiciating pain and agony
He died right there on a hill at Calvary
On the third day he arose from the grave
Now our souls thru him can be saved
Lord please forgive me for what I have done
I pray to the Father and his son
I read my bible and I always pray
I want to live better than yesterday
Lord thank you for just being a friend
May the  love we share never have to end
Jesus I know someday your coming back for me
To live with you in heaven for eternity
Jesus of my world you are that special part
I will love you from the bottom of my heart
