Old Man's Road

Time, and time again.
Walking roads, and all that binds.
Faces we view; blur lines of just.
Walk the old man's road.

Pin drops far astray, life wild; life sad.
Never a worry, smile gleams glad.
Man talks ways of life.
Freedom felt when held right.

Walk old man's road; show no fright.
Left only question one question, question shining bright.
Do you walk your own roads in fright?
Forever, never at best; suspense in rest.
Those walk kicking the dirt.

Upon old man's road.
All genders flirt.
Awhile kicking up dirt and dust.
Staring down, down this old man's road.

Daryl Wayne Baxter

My work not meant to be of perfection, it never has been; nor is it, to myself, of Epic proportion. Its perception is importantly the opinion of the reader, critic, and/or reviewer. It is an importance to me, the thoughts of the reader, no matter if it is misunderstood, misleading, or ill represented. It is only my personal, poetically artistic creations. In addition, throughout the years, 2004-2007; I received awards of outstanding achievements in poetry, from poetry.com. My poetry written here is same of sorts. Thanks, for all your time in reading, reviewing, and criticizing, no matter its negativity or its positivity. It is greatly appreciate. Sincerely, I give much respect! Daryl Wayne Baxter more…
