Old Friend

Blunt honesty to no deceit,
 Complimentary at every extent,

 Always wanting to pitch a tent,

This extends to a friend,

One that would never let you down,

One that could always make amend,

One that wont let you frown,

A friend as bright as Star,

Now taken through to afar,

As when fate is dealt sour,

Its washed away in a shower,

When Presenting a simple flower,

Returns of unexpected dower,

Trueness shown through every doubt,

Even when life presents such a drought,
 Never needing unneeded properties sought,

Content at needing only thought,

You will never be forgot,
You have filled my sight,

Sorrow will not hold my spirit,

Instead I shall remember your whit.
