Old Beginnings

When every road is a dead end
turning back is the only option
sitting at the crossroads
waiting for a ride from the devil
convinced he knows a shortcut to destiny
another dead end
why is this occurring and reoccurring?
STOP TURNING BACK!
staying is the only option
the only way to see
beyond the road's end
