Oh Mighty Land

Oh mighty land of winding rivers and amber skies,
My path has strayed a distance from you and yet,
Your beauty stands so ever clear in my eyes.
And like your lakes, these eyes are blue and wet,
With tears that come from missing you...
These tears that come from missing you.

Oh mighty land of bountiful fields clad in golden mail,
My spirit longs to dance within your skies of blue.
My feet long to walk and feel your clovered trails,
And like your fields, my cheeks are wet with dew,
With tears that come from missing you...
These tears that come from missing you.

Oh mighty land of roaming snow crowned mountains,
I long to fish your peaceful green valleyed rivers.
I long to drink from your clear spring fountains,
And like your springs, my face is cold and shivers,
From tears that come from missing you...
These tears that come from missing you.

Oh mighty land that engulfs my every envisioned sight,
I shall return and breathe once more your fresh air,
And sleep beneath your star strewn skies at night.
And like your clear skies, my eyes shall be spared,
From tears that come from missing you...
These tears that come from missing you.
