Ode To Love ( or Parodies Lost)

Oh Love! Thy beauteous maiden
How sweet thy desire
That fills me to the brim
Come, let me taste thy wine
And holy pleasures will be mine.

Oh Love! Thy beauteous bird
How sweet thy song
That echoes in my ears
Starry diamonds thine eyes adorn
Together we shall greet the morn.

Oh Love! Thy beauteous vision
How sweet thy form
That tempts me with wild delight
Lift for me thy verdant skirt
And ease all earthly pain and hurt.

Oh Love! Thy beauteous angel
How sweet thy wonder
That swallows me whole
Virgin kisses steal my breath
And lead me to untimely death.
