Nursing Home

While in the nursing homes each day
I see the aged,the old and frail,
Some leaving the dining room
Tell me they are in jail.

And each room that I enter
The elderly are so glad to see,
That a Chaplain has come to visit
And say a prayer with me.

Now,...no one comes to visit
Not even to hold their hand,
None of the family to pray with them
Confused, they don't understand.

To me it serves as a reminder
When we are old someday,
Tell those that really love you,now,
Please visit me... and help me pray
