Nowhere to Turn

Nowhere to Turn

Tired of expressing my feelings
Running out of ink
Every time I try to breath
I loose my grip and sink

Hoping one day I realize how
I can fight back and win
No more hard rocks to stand on
Just quicksand running thin

Life seems so meaningless
No matter where I look
The words are escaping in agony
Pages are fading in my book

Seeking spiritual answers
With hope to find something true
Praying to God to salvage me
Just show me the way through

Will words of poetry take me off?
To high skies on wings of wind
Will a true belief find me soon?
Or will I just descend?

So lonesome in my search, yet
In a path of thorns and swords
No echoes, no answers or signs
A lost soul lost in the midst of words
