On the shores of Douglas Island
Are the signs of wild life

From land, sea and the sky above
For us to see and enjoy.

On the shores of Douglas Island
We see the signs of human life

From what they leave on shore
We shall know they left more.

On the shores of Douglas Island
Are the signs of time long ago

From what we can learn
From the times past and now.

On the shores of Douglas Island
People live here now

From North to South and East to West
The people here are the best.
