Is it enough to say I love you?
as you gaze at me from underneath your brow
biting on your fingertips
twirling your clean, dirty-blond hair
I can not believe how beautiful you are
nothing moves me more than seeing you cry
I do not move an inch
my heart awaits the parting of your lips
waiting for you to steal my breath
longing for yours...so sweet
remain calm...
it rests on the tip of her tongue
but her tongue lies still
and she looks away into nothing
I would rather have her lash out at me
leave her tiny handprint across my face
but she turns and walks away
I already miss her sweet, short breaths
was it too much to say I love you?
