No Longer My Light

Taken aback, a bit shaken...
How could I have been this mistaken?
I don't understand,
I thought he was right...
but the truth I believed was actually a lie.
He was my light; the person I could put my trust in...
But after what I heard tonight,
His light has gone dim.
I knew I shouldn't have listened to him.
