No Day To Lay Away

We can exploit everyday
and shout about tomorrow.
There's no day to lay away, we have no oath to borrow.
We can breathe only today
and hope about tomorrow.
There's no day to lay away, we have no gasp to borrow.
We can await judgment day
and fret about tomorrow.
There's no day to lay away, we have no worth to borrow.
We can exist day by day
and shrink about tomorrow.
There's no day to lay away, we have no spare to borrow.
We can rest the seventh-day
and slog about tomorrow.
There's no day to lay away, we have no glut to borrow.
We can learn from yesterday
and dream about tomorrow.
There's no day to lay away, we have no time to borrow.
